About Our Vision With Foster Youth

At the 2Wanda Community Foundation, we are dedicated to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for foster youth. Our vision is to empower these young individuals, providing them with the resources, opportunities, and guidance they need to thrive and reach their full potential. We believe that every child deserves a loving and stable foundation to build their future, and we are committed to making this a reality for foster youth in our community.

  • Ensure that foster youth have access to safe, stable, and nurturing homes where they can feel secure and supported. We work with foster families, care homes, and other community partners to provide loving environments that promote the well-being of each child.

  • Support foster youth in their educational journey by providing access to quality education, tutoring, and extracurricular activities. We aim to inspire a love for learning and personal growth, helping them to discover their talents and passions.

  • Address the mental and emotional needs of foster youth through counselling, mentorship programs, and therapeutic services. We strive to create a network of support that helps them navigate their experiences and build resilience.

  • Prepare foster youth for independent living by offering life skills training, career guidance, and financial literacy programs. We aim to equip them with the knowledge and confidence needed to transition successfully into adulthood.

Our Vision

Key Initiatives

  • Provide scholarships, tutoring, and educational resources to help foster youth excel academically. We also offer workshops on college and career readiness, helping them to plan for their future.

  • Connect foster youth with mentors who can offer guidance, support, and encouragement. Our counseling services address the emotional and psychological needs of foster youth, promoting healing and growth.

  • Engage the community in supporting foster youth by raising awareness, organizing events, and advocating for policies that benefit them. We work to create a community that values and supports foster youth.
